Dirty Kitchen? Tips from your local maid service:
Having a clean home can be a challenge especially when you don’t have the help of a local maid service. Have kids running around the house calling on you constantly? Work too many hours? Out living life? Sometimes the majority of your time when home is spent in the kitchen besides the living room, since the kitchen is the heart of a home and is where you cook most of your appetizing meals. Today we will provide you with a few tips that will help you have a clean kitchen on a daily basis. Helping you stain sane in and focused is our goal!
Staying Clean by Decluttering
As adults we tend to use different kitchen appliances such as a blender, especially for those yummy breakfast smoothies, toaster for those bagels and many other similar electronics. To make sure your kitchen is
uncluttered, make sure to put away electronics you only use once a week. Only leave out electronics that you use daily or at least more than once in a week. Having uncluttered counter-tops also gives you a sense of more space and cleanliness. Having said this, make sure to sort out any mail you receive right away instead of throwing it on your counters and see it pile up. Throw out or recycle any spam mail you don’t need and file your bills and other important mail immediately. Try keeping only functional decor that will serve two purposes, for decor and to hide away things you must have on hand such as pens, keys or spices. This way, you’ll have plenty of counter space to cook those delicious meals.
Keep Your Dishwasher Empty
Empty Your Sink/Dishwasher After Meals: Usually you cook at least three meals a day plus snacks in between, so make sure to wash dishes after each meal. You can start washing in between your cooking, meaning if you hand wash your dishes and you used a bowl to whisk eggs, wash it while the eggs are cooking. This way dishes don’t pile up on you. If you use a dishwasher, load all the dirty dishes after everyone is done eating and turn it on. If you have kids, make sure to allow them to partake on this task too. Once the next meal comes along, dishes will be ready and clean. Do this after each meal so you won’t have a pile high sink full of dirty dishes. Make sure to empty the dishwasher after each cycle so it will be ready for the next meal’s dishes. Wipe down the sink as well and clean out the in-sink food/garbage disposal to avoid any pesky odors. a great tip from our friends at Westpaq who offer full suite commercial and residential cleaning services.
Don’t Stress – A Local Maid Service Can Help
Have a Daily Routine: Whether you clean the stove after each meal or at the end of the day before going to bed, have your own routine and make sure others help out. If you clean out the fridge every Friday or at least twice a month, make sure to follow through. If you use a planner or those magnetic reminder boards on your fridge, write down when it’s time to clean out the fridge and have a daily “To Do” list if lists are your thing. Some items on your list can be: quick wipe down of counter tops, quick wipe down of stove top, sweep the kitchen floor, take out the trash and wipe down exterior cabinets. These are a few ideas to keep on your daily “To Do” list so you can check them off at the end of the day and wake up to a clean kitchen the next day. Be creative with your list and make it your own so that you feel accomplished at the end of the day and be proud of your clean kitchen!
